and Beyond…

So, what now? Well, you’ve poured a solid foundation, so now it’s time to build a house and live in it. For the homelabbers, it is time to start creating VMs and self-host some services. Since this tutorial was a how-to for creating a similar environment to my own, other resources would provide different perspectives. I also feel like at this point in the tutorial, what comes next would be better shown with short video content. I could write countless small sections on here, but this blog may not be an ideal place for searchable documentation like that. Besides, the official documentation already does that better.

Go ahead and play around with your new environment. Mouse over different buttons and read the tool tips.

I intend to use this page for the smaller sections that are not written about enough elsewhere, or for embedding short videos about similar content. Things like tips and tricks, basic troubleshooting and common log files (could honestly grow into its own section), and more. Check back here again later!

Xen Orchestra v6 has continued to improve in the month since this was originally published, so do not be surprised to find something about that on here soon.

Additionally, I am planning on another tutorial expanding on this environment with a containerization layer using Docker Swarm. Stay tuned!
